They don't. The fact that many of them are is clearly because black people came off incredibly badly after Katrina and people want to make sure the same thing doesn't happen again.

I accept that black people may have been disproportionately affected by the savagery of Katrina but fundraising events targeted at a specific demographic serve only to divide and create friction, rather than uniting an ever disparate population

Do you think they have the same opportunities now?

 

Do you think they have the same wealth within their families built up over the last 100 or so years?

 

Do they have parents that can help them out financially, and with their education and employment opportunities?

i think sir it is you that is Naive? yes they have the same opportunities now and in fact due to liberal pressures they have more in the way of subsidised offerings, education, help with business and new skills etc.

what has wealth got to do with it over the last 100 years? many people dont have built up wealth and many people dont have parents or families but i dont see them looting and rioting? there is no excuse but it is a certain demographic that do it and for the most part seem to get away with it:roll:
