Why aren't humans chipped at six weeks old?

Recommended Posts

Being chipped in the Hollywood films I have watched was for governments to track people down. It sounds a bit like Big Brother keeping an eye on you.

Could these chips cause infection being in your body all the time? they are still fairly new, only time will tell.

With a chip in your neck no one could pretend they were you , Lord Lucan would be found instantly by the central chip bank, all doubts about wether Elvis was dead could be put to bed as the chip would still work six foot under .

If the idea catches on then I claim the patent here and now on the World wide web.

Lord Lucan would have had his chipped swapped with one from a recently deceased person, as would Elvis.

You can't 'claim' a patent, you have to register them, and the idea has to be new.

And to pretend you were someone else (who's still alive) you'd simply clone their chip.

Chip readers could be installed at every street corner so that everyone's whereabouts would be known if needed.

Wives would know that their husband was in bed with some floozy and not in the pub as he claimed.A bit like that tracker on mobiles except you couldn't turn the chip off!

Apart from the horrible invasion of privacy, again this is trivially defeated using tinfoil, or a jammer, or cloning another chip, or having it removed.

And what range do you imagine these chips having if they can be read as you move down a street?

On the news this evening an inventor described a chip the size of a rice grain that can be injected into your hand that can open any modified door or start your car.

The chip and injection costs £250 and the door £5K!

You would have to do that by law.

Carrying an uncharged phone or no phone would be made criminal offence.

How is this about a phone now?

You realise that what you're suggesting is a truly stupid idea.

Lemme guess, carrying tinfoil would be made a criminal offence too?

Actually not a bad idea, it would reduce heroin addiction
