Read more at: http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/breaking-incident-has-sheffield-travel-agent-in-lockdown-1-8706565  It reads as though the witness described it that way. dutch   68 #9 Posted August 17, 2017 Foreign exchange..?  Armed robbery is still possible but not as viable as it used to be. Blowing up or ramming an ATM gets more cash with smaller chance of getting caught and lower sentence than armed robbery.
 Share this content via...

Arthur Ritus   30 #11 Posted August 17, 2017 If they went through the tram gates they will really be in bother.  The roads around there are so slow i am surprised no one followed them on foot, hardly be a high speed getaway. Olive   10 #12 Posted August 17, 2017 (edited) It's all a bit bonkers really isn't it, on several fronts?  I don't suppose there's that many people who still book holidays through a shop these days, let alone pay cash.  Chances of getting caught will be really high, especially given the locality. Penalties for armed robbery are very high. Why would a crim risk so much for so little?  Hope the staff are alright, it must be absolutely terrifying.
