bdbooth   10 #1 Posted August 12, 2017 In the 80's and early 90's there was a pub at either North or South Anston that I can't remember the name of. It's driving me mad and I've googled it but nothing's come up so I'm guessing it's not there anymore. I'm sure it was a man's name(Tom Something?). Anyone have a clue? Anyone have a clue?  You are thinking of the "Tom Cobley" that was actually in Dinnington, I used to run the door there.  The "Cart Wheel" is probably the one you are thinking of in Anston. Dardandec   32 #4 Posted August 12, 2017 The "Cart Wheel" is probably the one you are thinking of in Anston. Where was that? I can only remember the "Leeds Arms" and "The Loyal Trooper" at South Anston. "Williams bar" and "The Cutler" at North Anston. mikeG Â Â 16 #12 Posted August 13, 2017 Used the Loyal Trooper around 1971. If I remember correctly, they served spirits in quarter of a gill measures as opposed to a sixth.
 Share this content via...
