Question about price of gas meter

Dear All,

 

Is there any one get an idea about the cost for the gas meter ? My landlord set up a separated gas meter in my flat and the unit is imp ( Elster Gas Meter) . I am wondering is there anyone have an idea about how much it costs for 1 imp?

Yes it is confusing, your meter reads in one unit but you are billed by the kilowatt hour of gas (kWh)

 

Your gas meter measures in 100's of cubic feet? (Ft3) ?

To convert (Ft3) to cubic meters (M3) you multiply by 2.83

 

To convert cubic meters of gas (M3) into kWh:

 

(M3) x 1.02264 x 39.5 ÷ 3.6 = kWh

 

To get the price multiply number of kWh by you unit price (probably 3-4p per unit or something?)

Depending on your unit price 1 imp is going to be (roughly) 60p-£1.20
