AKADOK Â Â 10 #27 Posted April 29, 2007 We lived on Westbury Street until 1981. I remember all of these names (sorry I'm a bit late with this thread but I've just joined). Â Anybody remember Andrew Oxborough, Terry, Dean and Donna Parker, Michael and Paul Reynolds, Andrew Fletcher, Shokat Nawaz, Tahir Khan, Zaid Hussain, Barry Cooke, Andrew Kemp, Georgie Ward, Wayne Kania, Noel, Parick and Sonia Palmer, Paul Dyson, Kerry, Nicky and Craig Davison, John, Joanne and Andrea Parker, Mandy Pilling, Angela, John and Micheal Haynes, Steven Burnand and Kevin Pollard? Â Phew, need a lie down after that lot. Â I went to Hammerton and Woodbourne. Can't believe nobody's mentioned the best teacher of all time, Malcolm Hannah (he played the pianner). Somebody must remember him. I was in saturn as well, and yes we did always lose. As well as the school song (which sadly I remember all the verses to), Saturn had our own song, written by Rita Anyon. We were great at singing, but always got leathered at football.
 Share this content via...
Eleke95 Â Â 10 #28 Posted April 29, 2007 Well - now you've got me VERY intrigued ! I know ALL of the above. There are a few you've not mentioned on the same or surrounding streets! (Including myself!) Judging by the majority of the names, you are in the same age group as me and you even left the same year as me. Do you remember - Cheryl, Connie and Glennis Morton(they were on Westbury St) Jackie and Beverley Bolsover, Wendy, Alan, Paul, and Andrew Wilson? Yes I now remember Mr Hannah with his hacking jacket and cord trousers! Lovely man. Did he leave a while before us because I can remember Mrs. Monohan playing the piano more than him. I was in Saturn too! Yes we did always lose - despite me fiddling my house points EVERYWEEK! Now, back to you - you've really got me racking my brains now as to who you could be! A pm would be great to let me know your name! - You tell me yours and I'll tell you mine!!
 Share this content via...
Eleke95 Â Â 10 #29 Posted April 29, 2007 First of all AKADOK, I have pm'd you. Thanks for yours! Trying to dig out a picture of how Woodbourn looks today. Will post soon!
 Share this content via...
Eleke95 Â Â 10 #30 Posted April 29, 2007 Can anyone remember the name of the Head teacher AFTER Mr. Simms left? He was an elderly gentleman who came from Huntsmans Gardens school - but can't remember his name! Driving me nuts!
 Share this content via...
AKADOK Â Â 10 #31 Posted April 30, 2007 Hello Footie Freak (again). Hope you got my PM. The bloke was called Sanderson. I left the same year as Mr Sims, and we were told we would be welcome back any time. However, when a bunch of us from Waltheof turned up, he had us escorted off the premises! So much for a warm welcome.
 Share this content via...
Eleke95 Â Â 10 #32 Posted April 30, 2007 Got your pm! SF is better than friends re-united! Ta! I will be replying soon! - Oh yeah, that's him, Sanderson. Brilliant, cheers. I always found him lovely, though for some reason he took a bit of a shine to me (in a good way, not a dodgy one!) though I used to be so embarrassed cause he always called me 'Carol!' - apparently, he used to teach someone called Carol **** (same surname as me) so I had to be stuck with the name as well - of course the rest of the kids found it hilarious! Very embarrassing to a ten year old!
 Share this content via...

Do you remember any of the following names, Gordon Davison, Dennis Fletcher, Glyn Williams they were all in the same year as Dennis.
