Thats the one I was talking about I think they called him Frank

We was all scared of him and yes there were sandpits and monkey bars

he would always told you off if you went of the swings and you were to old

also can you remember the I think they called the slack hiils just over the railway

bridge we used to climb to the top of them and I think there was also a pond there

where we used to catch tadpoles.

Hello Diane

This is Ann Whiteley, Queenie is my mum, the aunty that lived on Ripon Street with Lily, she was married to my dad's brother. Think you are a bit younger than me, I'm 55 now. Your Kath is the same age as my brother John, he will be 59 in December, I think they were in the same class. I've got a photo of you, Anne Race and myself, think it was taken in our yard. Do you remember Steve and Anne Carey, they lived near you. Sorry to hear about your mum, my mum lives at Darnall but dad died 5 years ago.

It's great to hear from you after all these years.

Take care

Ann

Yes I recognise them. Bill Brumby, my brother Dennis, Glynn Hannan, Geoff Tavner, and Phil Thompson (I think) not too sure about Thompsons first name. I have the same picture, don't know what year or where it was taken. Do you know?

I know where it was taken, it was in our garden at Ripon Street, welder1 is my brother. and yes we had a garden not many people did, you can just see the outside toilets in the top corner, there was a wall there, and over that wall was the Stevensons house,

I used to sit on that wall cos Uncle Jack Stevenson (Wasn't really my uncle)used to bring horses home, never knew why really.
