Pubs chain bans swearing

Recommended Posts

Samuel Smith,Yorkshires well known brewery recently shut one of its pubs for allowing swearing on the premises, the owner of the company Humphrey Smith makes unannounced visits to his pubs checking on the way they are run.if this policy was extended to all pubs not many would remain open.

I would have thought that having to drink any of Samuel Smiths products would induce swearing in anyone.

LOL that pub closure was local to me, its a workmates local, apparently somebody was walking past heard swearing went in and complained, they immediately chucked everybody out and shut the doors Oo

I wouldn't know.

I think for any sensible discussion, we'd need to address this bold:

... which seems odd (or unlikely)

Any links Hackey?

Seems a little bit nose, spite face. Are they shut permanently or just for one night?

I don't like excessive swearing but the odd eff & jeff seems perfectly acceptable to me. I do think though that many people will deliberately swear to see how far they can push the boundaries.

No need for it.

The odd expletive when getting excited about something is fairly common, but if it's every other word it's not good.
