Nagel 10 #13 Posted December 22, 2013 Bob Dylan played the Gaumont Theatre as part of his World Tour in May 1966. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Dylan_World_Tour_1966 Time Life photos have an interesting image of him posing outside LSD Partners Betting Office. http://content.time.com/time/photogallery/0,29307,1812373_1721126,00.html Does anyone know where it was ? I've got a feeling it might have been on Cambridge Street. MrIan Here's the links to the discussion on the other forum where it was decided the photo was from Nottingham. http://www.*************.com/index.php?topic=1688.msg42479;topicseen#msg42479 http://www.*************.com/index.php?topic=1688.msg45605#msg45605 I think you'll find the discussion of interest
 Share this content via...

That's very small minded, it's not as if that tiny forum is any kind of threat to SF. Anyone who is interested substitute Talk Sheffield in the asterisked section of the link, remembering to write it as one word missing out the space between the words. Jim Hardie 527 #16 Posted December 23, 2013 I just noticed that Sheffield Forum has deleted the name of the forum from the links I posted. That's very small minded, it's not as if that tiny forum is any kind of threat to SF. It will have been done automatically in the same way that swearing is redacted. Someone must have taken the decision that the forum name is on a par with ******** and **** though. So yes, small minded.
 Share this content via...

muddycoffee 10 #18 Posted December 27, 2013 Yes, according to the Wiki link, he played Leicester the night before Sheffield. There was an L.S.D. betting shop on the Loughborough Rd in West Bridgford, which could easily have been en-route. Long since redeveloped by the look of it. I believe there were at least three LSD betting shops at the time of the picture
 Share this content via...
Mudbug 10 #19 Posted June 23, 2017 I'm working on a new book called - Bob Dylan - I Was There - which will contain accounts from over 400 fans memories of seeing Dylan live in concert. Did anyone see Dylan is Sheffield on April 30, 1965 at Sheffield City Hall or May 16, 1966 at the Gaumont Theatre? If so, would you be interested in sharing your story? The book will cover gigs and recordings from the start of his career until the end of 1969. The book is being published by Red Planet later this year.
