anyone used a company called Limestone Surfacing to tarmac a drive? they cmae round to ask if I wanted it resurfacing which I do, badly, and had company logo on van, business cards and quote sheet and have offered to do it for £850, but after reading stories about dodgy workmen doing rotten jobs i'm now wondering if i've done the right rthing in agreeing? they start Monday so need advice fast!

Best advice I'd give is don't pay anything till job is done to completion and you 100%happy with end result

I'm no expert but I believe tarmac needs to be hot rolled onto a good base, if your present driveway surface is flush with the pavement and various grates etc then these need to be dug out to achieve a uniform thickness. sometimes a sub-base of hardcore has to be laid. Drainage, etc.
