What do you mean by treats? When we train our young dogs we take food out of their daily portion to give as a reward for training. Some times they have had tiny bits of cheese or home made meaty dog treats as its not easy to feed raw meat as a treat.

 

We rarely give treats unless its for training. When they are adult dogs they get dried fish skin treats or pigs ears. As a consequence of only giving treats for training and having set meal times our dogs don't beg or whine for food or treats, they know they won't get any.
