The right to protest and strike in enshrined in the French Constitution.

Perhaps you should have the same in the UK so a few dozen Trots and Anarchists could ambush Johnson.

Actually always admired the French for striking en masse at the drop of a hat.

If we did the same here, we could have rid ourselves earlier of Blair, (for taking us into an unnecessary war on the pretense of weapons of mass destruction), but I'm surmising you only agree with protesters taking action against the Tories?

Didn't see any change in the Labour laws despite 13 years of Labour rule, even with 'Socialists' like Blunkett, Prescott ot Caborn at the top table?

Don't you remember the massive demonstrations against the Iraq war - I think there were nigh on a million of us in London - far bigger than anything the Gilet Jaunes have ever organised here in France.

I think the Tories would take a rather dim view of en masse strikes at the drop of a hat and would legislate against them.

I didn't realize you'd been in France for forty years and missed Maggie's legislation which castrated the unions.

I don't recall Labour doing a great deal to change anti-union legislation.
