Best way to get rid of ants on my fruit trees, on my patio wherever I moved the apple tree pots

The ants follow ,was going to use ant killer around pots but don't want to damage trees as they are full of small fruit, any suggestions please

Have you tried planting some mint. Ants don't seem to like it.

Spray your apple trees with aphid killer. There is a pretty good chance that the ants are farming aphids on the trees. Kill the aphids and the ants will go.

Thanks for your advice will any of the treatments harm the fruit so not able to eat them?

A 50:50 mix of Borax and sugar will do the trick if placed in a small and shallow tray.
