jaffa1 Â Â 10 #6 Posted February 7, 2017 In the mid 1960's was Chaucer a secondary modern or grammar school? Â I was at the school when it first opened and we were told to write on the fronet of our exercise books our names , class and Chancer Secondary Modern school. It was not long after that that we were told to write on our new books Comprehensive, I don't think the teachers themselves knew at the time because it was all very new to our era. The schools that attended there in the beginning at the average age of 12 were from Parkside Road school, Neepsend, Philadephia and Parsons Cross.
