Certainly made the wrong choice that night stealing from the injured. He had the chance to turn his life around with the fundraising. That’s if he could change his ways.

Now he is in prison and unable to leave his cell because of death threats from the inmates.

With all of his previous convictions I’m surprised he’s not in prison already.

I’m curious to know why he was homeless, could it be he was kicked out of the family home for burglary and the family unable to cope with him?

There's certainly some bad blood:

In an interview with the Sunday Mirror, Parker’s family revealed how he brazenly taunted them after they doubted his claims of bravery.

In messages to the mother of a former partner, Parker said: “Went to the One Love concert as a special guest.

“Does that not tell you the truth you <removed>.”

In another message he bragged: “Hahahahaha <removed> you are just jel cause I’ve got 52 grand. Ahahaha.

“And you are all on benefits whilst I’m on my way to Turkey… you are all just a bunch of scruffs...look at my bank account 52 grand richer.”

What a horrible person he is, if all of this is true, makes you wonder how he can live with it, but he will of of course.

I’m very happy the brother of the Manchester bomber has got life with a minimum 55 years. My heart goes out to all the victims.

I bet he now wishes that he'd took that trip to the court to hear his sentencing verdict rather than sit in his cell for the past few days.  It's going to be a long time before he gets to go on another day trip.

The minimum 55yrs tariff still only amounts to 2.5 years for each of the 22 lives took.

The epitomy of the word "scum", indeed.

A waste of air.

Mind you, as with the other waste of space who got a deserved 55 year term today, he'll soon find out that it's a different world inside....

It has now come to light that the British Transport Police are the ones responsible for the security.

That is rediculous and it should be the main news headline.

The BTP are funded by the train operators, they should not be responsible for anywhere except trains and perhaps stations. I often see things where councils are paying for PCSOs, when it should be the responsibility of the Police.

The Police Force, its funding and what its role is needs reform.

The station joins the arena,is that to do with it ?

There were 14,000 people there and the police have said that they were unaware. I assume that there would be a procedure with large gatherings of people.

I wasn't trying to debate anything as im not up to date with the case I was just replying to your mention of transport police, i know you can walk from the station straight to one of the arena doors.

I just heard it on the radio; it seems that the NHS was poor too. You would expect our police force to have specialist police for large events and for transport police to stick to transport.
