petcharlie   10 #37 Posted October 19, 2017 Warnocks football belongs in the dark ages, things have moved on. He'll be back tending his farm in Cornwall by February waiting for another rescue job, may even be one of his old clubs  I think I might know a rescue job that might be coming up soon.  ---------- Post added 19-10-2017 at 15:28 ----------  mind you he will do what he has done before and turn it down
 Share this content via...
chalga   10 #38 Posted October 19, 2017 It's good to look back at old threads to see how wrong you get it. I like seeing where I've gone wrong too.  No digs. Just seeing how are doing after a quarter of way through  In fact, if I was attempting a dig, wouldn't I have mentioned the owls in the main post?  Yep,how stupid was I talking about Barnsley,it's the daftest post in the thread.  EDIT:..........Hang on a bit,I just read the thread again. Just seeing how are doing after a quarter of way through  In fact, if I was attempting a dig, wouldn't I have mentioned the owls in the main post?  One of the great things about football is the unpredictability of the game. I doubt that anyone would have predicted the table to look as it does after a quarter of the season.  The Blades are flying, and if it was any other club, I'd be thrilled for them.  It is worth noting that by this stage last season, Newcastle, Brighton and Huddersfield were firmly ensconced in the top six. They stayed there all season.  Will that happen again? Read my opening sentence.
 Share this content via...
petcharlie   10 #40 Posted October 19, 2017 Just remind of one thing I've got to be jealous of Warnock for. I have faith in CC, a lot of teams would kill for a two top 6 finishes, a local one may be amongst them next season.  Do you know I think you are right.:hihi:
 Share this content via...
Ridgewalk   101 #41 Posted October 19, 2017 Jealousy is an illness you know. Dont let warnock get you down. Have faith in CC He cant lose ALL the time. He will get success in the end. No matter how much he blows   The guy seems obsessed with anything connected to United. Reminds me of that character in the Pink Panther films who has a breakdown because of his obsession with Inspector Clouseau.  Terrible thing jealousy  ---------- Post added 19-10-2017 at 18:18 ----------  Good side, Brentford. You lot have a lot to learn about the Championship.    Looks like we’re fast learners
 Share this content via...

Grappler   12 #43 Posted October 21, 2017 Betting odds change all the time, probably best to hang on until Christmas. Bookies are not usually far off being correct, as my old dad used to say "you never see a poor bookie"
 Share this content via...

Bookies are not usually far off being correct, as my old dad used to say "you never see a poor bookie"  You are right, of course. But the last few years will tell you that all three teams to be promoted will probably be more n the top ten by now.  Do you fancy United for automatic promotion? Guest sibon   #46 Posted October 21, 2017 (edited) Lump on at 12 to 1.  It was a serious question. They've got proper momentum going. 12:1 seems very generous  ETA. Blades are 4/1 to get promoted according to Paddypower. Owls 8/1. Edited October 21, 2017 by sibon
 Share this content via...
Padders   2,870 #47 Posted October 21, 2017 Serious answer yes I do. nothing to fear from any other team imo. someone posted 12 to 1. 4 to 1 not good value.
 Share this content via...
redbig   10 #48 Posted October 21, 2017 Can't see Wednesday making playoffs because I can't see Carlos changing. With another manager who knows  Can't see United finish top 2 because I think they'll fade. Top 6 maybe.  I'll wait for this thread to be resurrected later in the season, some folk got too much time on their hands
 Share this content via...
