an absolute disgrace that the wikileaks alleged rapist and sexual molester has been allowed to cost the uk tax payer over 13.2 million in police surveillance and associated costs whilst in the Ecuadorian embassy under diplomatic status.

we should have had him arrested and deported immediately it was obvious he was wanted in Sweden.

No it wasn't obvious at all. It was a scam to extradite him to the USA. Yes it's cost a lot, but they should have let him go in the first place. Common sense should have prevailed.

Unfortunately as you well know the UK adheres strictly to the law, even stupid EU ones. Therefore until the required paperwork, i.e. a US or European arrest warrant, is in the hands of the Police they cannot arrest as they would be sued as has happened in the past. Assange pre emoted this by going in the embassy which is not UK soil

He didn't ask the UK taxpayer to provide police surveillance on him did he?

The U.K. Did that on the orders of our boss the USA so we should ask the US to reimburse us. ?

There is little wonder there is shortage of money for Government spending, when taxpayer's money is used in this way. The Government shouldn't be wasting money on foreign vermin. The Ecuadorian government should be made to pay the policing bill. If it is not paid voluntary, then Ecuadorian citizens should be banned from entering the UK and there should be weekly deportations of Ecuadorians living here.

 

When Assange is eventually arrested, then he should be extradited to America and spend the rest of his life in the cell the traitor Bradley Manning should still be.
