Stone Pillar - side of conduit, Hallam Moor

Leave Redmires Rd to the right along the conduit upon reaching the top dam of 3.

Any explanation for the stone pillar on the left of the conduit at 262865.

That is Pillar III, a sighting/surveying tower used in the construction of the Rivelin water tunnel.
