Bit off the subject but how many professional footballer's that were born on the Isle of Wight made it in teams in the north, perhaps some went to the likes of nearby Bournemouth, Southampton and Portsmouth but in Sheffield we had Roy Shiner (Ryde.IOW) with the Owls, (also Huddersfield Town and Hull City), and the Blade's current goalie, Simon Moore (Sandown, IOW).
