Sheff United get their long awaited promotion

Recommended Posts

In his speech to the fans last night McCabe was clear about the club going forward with the academy players but no mention of transfer funds was made.

More of the same to come I fear.

I don't think great spending is needed. Not in the first season anyhow.

Endeavour will either see you through, or leave you wanting.

Give it a season, see what happens.

for me, you need some players of at least the division your heading into or wanting to achieve, not wholly have lesser.

and i believe once you get promoted you DO have to strenthen

I'm not sure how long Brayford has left on his contract but he may be back next season.

I know achieving the Championship isn't quite the same as getting to the Premier league, but if you can survive (or better) in your first season in the 'new' League, it gives you a better idea of what's needed (without spending) and you can make a more informed decision in your 2nd year (should you survive).

If you don't survive, you should have spent ................... :hihi::loopy:

I'm not sure Wilder's decisions are a gamble to be honest.

He seems to know what he's doing.
