really? thought theyd wait and see what division there in yet (yes i know its all but nailed on) but you never know with football.

I believe there will be an increase, its an expensive division to compete, and you need to spend in it to compete

They were reduced by 10% last season so that's gonna be stuck back on minimum.

Will they label it the 'League 1 return ticket'?

Need to spend in it to compete?

Well, until the last couple of weeks, Barnsley were in with a decent chance of competing for a play-off place.

And have they spent?

Well, this season they've sold Mawson, Bree, Hourihane and Winnall for combined fees of £11.5m, whilst buying Bradshaw, Moncur, Mowatt and Kpekawa for a total of £2.1m.

So maybe it's not such a 'expensive division to compete in' after all?

Unless, of course, you've got an extortionate wage bill for your players (which for the six strikers alone is over £200,000 per week!).

That would be the Barnsley team that has only 1 win in 9 and 4 defeats in 6 since the end of the transfer window?

In truth, the acid test comes next season if they don't bolster the squad with decent signings.

Can you give a break down of the £200,000 for the 6 strikers and state where you got the info from?

Could do, then if we fail we won't look daft like another club did with their "return ticket".

With the "game changing investment" you should expect a good season.

Look at the obsession by owls. Hilarious.when it comes to ticket pricing, they are the last club to judge others.

I don't see anybody judging just people asking of you think you would need an increase to compete in the Champioship, a valid question.
