wearysmith   141 #50 Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) Only saw Zeppelin the once, at Knebworth in '79. They were dots in the distance, the sound was poor and the song choice wasn't great. Yeah, it was, like, ZEPPELIN!!!, sure, but on that day the experience didn't live up to my expectations. Hardly their fault   However, caught Plant's Honeydrippers gig at the Limit in the early 80s. I was crushed that close to the stage the man's sweat dripped on me. Ladies, not as exciting as you'd think BUT the show was magnificent. Different expectations, see?  I sat next to him once at a Wolves vs United gig away at Molineux (we won). I asked him about those short-lived Honeydrippers gigs. He'd had a really good time doing them apparently. Always wondered why he never gave the project another go.
