The plural of Nazi is Nazis. No apostrophe is needed unless you are indicating possession, as in the Nazi's wife (singular).

The way 'Nazis' was used in the Ofsted report would not need an apostrophe.

"Few words in regular use in historical writing can have been abused as much as the word ‘Nazi’. At the very least it has proved a persistent grammatical challenge for generations of students who fall into the trap of writing Nazi’s or Nazis’ as the plural of Nazi and Nazis as the possessive without an apostrophe, when it should be the other way around. This has become so widespread a practice that the mistake profits from a growing linguistic inertia."

As I don't want to anger the moderators by increasing the number of posts I will add this here.

In hindsight you are indeed correct. The rise of power does belong to the Nazis, in the same way that you would say Hilter's rise to power belonged to Hitler, so I concede that that would indeed need an apostrophe!

ive got two boys in y11 doing gcse's and im more than happy with the teaching, support and effort put in by the school ... its way off being a perfect school but I think inadequate is a bit strong.

All parents were aware of the inspection too as we were all invited to submit feedback to the inspectors, as do all schools.

There is no wonder the school is failing, teachers/head etc don't give a damn about anyone but themselves, and as for the parents of the children !?! Do you parents know how your little angels behave on the buses to and from Ecclesfield School ? Do you care ? Let me tell you. It is all push and shove, threats to elderly people (knowing the kids are untouchable) and elderly people made to stand while children sit with their bags at the side of them on a seat. I have been in touch with everyone possible about how bad this is. E.mailing the school, contacting both bus companies, SYPTE, SAFE, SCC etc etc, and no one gives a damn. I know of people who have given up going for cancer treatment at the hospitals because they cannot cope with being on the buses from High Green between 7.30 and 8.45 am. AT 3pm the buses go into the school and there are four teachers supervising the kids getting on buses. But what then ? Forget about them and let them riot ! Bus drivers are told not to react in any way to anything that happens.

But then you can see where the kids get it from when you get to the school and see other parents dropping the kids off in cars. Blocking the road while the child gets out of the car, total gridlock from Chapeltown to Ecclesfield. I've seen kids at bus stops in Ecclesfield ripping peoples fences down, climbing over into gardens. Even if you manage or dare to get on a bus the talk is sex, booze, drugs and (mainly) illegal highs. Who had to be carried home from the woods the night before because they were zombified by spice. YES parents, this is your little darlings !

I think that could be said about most schools in Sheffield at kicking out time. (Please, if anyone has examples of well behaved kids on busses I'd love to hear it. Good behaviour should be celebrated.)

Kids are full of energy, mischief and hormones at that age. The school bus is like a deregulated zone between supervision at school and supervision at home, so is an excuse for some kids to kick off. Twas ever thus...

That doesn't make bad behaviour alright of course, and I'd like to see schools and parents emphasise the need for more decorum and consideration for others in public places. Take it up with the school and maybe offer some suggestions as to how it could be improved.

Behaving like a moron on the bus isn't big and it isn't clever. Just childish.

Kids on buses were the same when I was at school!

You should take the time to go into the school. Ask for a tour. The vast majority of the kids are well behaved, polite and respectful.

If schools didn't have a couple of months notice that ofsted were coming a hell of a lot more school would get worse results than they do some are a lot better at covering the cracks than others, I personally don't think there should be any advance warning they should just turn up
