Jeffrey Shaw   90 #3 Posted March 13, 2017 Does anyone know anywhere in town (or nearby) which sells The Morning Star? Thanks in advance! Sorry but no. Odd, though, that it is sold- what with: a. Communism being a thing of the past; and b. (if Proudhon was right that 'Property is theft') it's capable of being sold for money as opposed to being free. horribleblob   212 #6 Posted March 13, 2017 I know they stock it at the Gleadless Road Co-op in Heeley, and I'm pretty darn sure I've seen it in Queens Road Asda, so maybe try other branches closer to the centre of town.
 Share this content via...

China, Cuba, Laos, North Korea and Vietnam are all Communist countries. That's a sizeable chunk of the World's population. Â ---------- Post added 13-03-2017 at 19:30 ---------- Â It's a socialist paper. Â And it always was, the Star part of the title gives an impression of Communism to some people. Of course Communists read and subscribe to it as they are also socialists, in a kind of extreme way.
 Share this content via...

The Morning Star, derived from the Stalinists' Daily Worker and relaunched as a "leftie" paper has never been, nor claimed to be, an anarchist publication Edited March 13, 2017 by Squiggs
 Share this content via...

Your party's big hero, Vladimir Putin, is ex-KGB and still behaving like it and b. Proudhon was an anarchist, not a communist.  Incidentally there's a rue Proudhon in his home town of Besancon and yes there is an estate agent's on it.
