Recommended Posts

Try Dronfield area..... good restaurants good pubs... health centres and

Train station + sports centre.

Not in any way actually "in Sheffield" as the title says though.

Great place for wife swapping, gossip, and lots of pubs.

The title is "Where is best to live in Sheffield for young professionals?"

Not "Sheffield city Region" or "Sheffield area".

I don't think I saw anyone recommend any ex pit villages for YPs either.

But what constitutes 'Sheffield' (or any city) can vary according to how it is defined. It's subjective. The local authority boundary for the city with that name is the most commonly used definition, but it's not the only one. So by one definition Dronfield IS in Sheffield, by another it's not. It's the same elsewhere (e.g. what constitutes 'Manchester' or 'Birmingham' can be simply those local authority areas or it can ALSO include the adjacent urban areas.
