Anyone have memories of the Top House -before alterations, at Wadsley - about 1980??

I recall a Sam Fretwell, lived opposite, amongst others....landlord being ex-Wednesday player .Ted Catlin.. any others??

Used to have my pre match drink in there all through the 90s. Good atmosphere and a great pint of Tetleys.

I used call in the morning at Tetleys for a barrel of for Ted when he was running it on a shoe string he would ask me to be early as he wanted it for dinner time, was good on Friday dinner his wife would put snacks on boiled black pudding and odd and ends, that was in 1969. I used to get a free pint, i think chap called Bill Fox who lived next door who used to be a brewer had his own seat
