Jordon Rhodes - Because he's worth it!

Recommended Posts

i said before he could be an expensive gamble and so far 1 goal, an assist....or two, and a missed penalty doesnt tell me otherwise

Missing a penalty can happen to any player, even the best miss penalties. Having watched him over the last few games i can see he is a very intelligent striker with some of the runs he is making and his ability to create a chance from nothing. However, the other players just haven't been able to play the balls needed for him to be on the end of. Judge him at the end of the season.

His goal scoring record is fantastic throughout his career and he doesn't become a bad player overnight ....he is however short of match practice & the service into him is not working as it should ... Bit like employing a mechanic and not giving him any tools to work with...

He will come good ... Hopefully this season ..!

Not sure what Clarke's got to do with it

Big difference though between him and a £10,000,000 + player.

That's irrelevant, what's paid for all these players is too much.

Jordan will come good for you in the end. He just needs the rub of the green. All this attention on him might have knocked his confidence. Joking aside, he'll get you your goals.

... or is he?

So you've seen him play. He's scored 1 out of how many games (not sure) and missed a critical penalty which could decide on your entire season. You've got to buy him for £10,000,000 at the end of the season, on the promise of having him on loan.

So is he worth the £10,000,000 and his £2,000,000 + each year in wages?

Should the money have been better spent on creative midfielders, full backs or central defence? Had he improved you as a whole?

Is he a waste of money?

I only ask this because Wednesday fan's seem split? Whether your answer is yes or no... why?

Genuine thread, please don't spoil it.

We can only judge over a period of time, its been well reported that we haven't been creating chances for our forwards so even Zlatan would struggle.

Incidentally you have no idea what we paid (£8m is the rumour from good sources) or what he's on wage wise.

And you have no idea he's not been sold for £10,000,000

Wages are over £40,000 per week.
