AlexAtkin   10 #13 Posted February 16, 2017 Checking if it autostarts is not all that helpful to be honest. That basically only verifies that your system can read the tiny file related to that, giving you no idea of the state of 99.9% of the disk.  Most recovery DVDs are intended to be booted anyway, not loaded from within Windows, so may not contain an autostart application at all. A few may not even be bootable, requiring you to boot the recovery software first from another disk or the boot menu on the HDD.
