a way for the builder to get easy money, ie: paid when nothing needs doing, then when it does need money obviously materials and labour is extra, after.

Absolute thieves. Did the same to me, first time i sourced the required parts that they "couldn't" find. Second time they made sure by breaking an unavailable part.

One company I wish would die a prolonged and painful death.
