People have the right to make thier views known by holding a peaceful protest.

 

Long may it continue. Along with Freedom of expression, equal rights and the right to withdraw your labour.

They're protesting about a visit that isnt planned till the Autumn. They should pick their battles a little bit better.

 

Liberals are quickly using up all their cards and are becoming an irritating white noise.

The march of the minority. While the rest of us just get on with life.

 

It's because so many of you 'get on with life' without joining the causes that the minority march for, that 'life' will go on as it is.

 

No doubt the majority tut and shake their head at protesters and 'lefty liberals' and say, we'll just get on with life thanks.

 

Then spend their days complaining about A&E/GP waiting times; house prices; the economy; reduced council services spending - bin collections, road resurfacing etc. etc.; and of course turn their blind eye to international terrorism; far off wars; climate change; etc, because those things 'don't really affect' them.

 

I don't suppose the people protesting tonight are creating a massive amount of change, but it's still more than the average joe, and that does count for something. It's so sad that people are out there really trying to do something, anything, and they just get belittled on a forum like this.

Or maybe a huge majority agrees with Trump's policy of putting americans first. I know its a very weird concept in this country.

 

When all those men were granted asylum as children when they were clearly grown men. We should've put a stop to all refugee applications until the process was corrected.

 

But we didnt, we just shrugged our shoulders and thought "oh well".... when these cowards were taking up places of children who really needed help.

People don't need to be told what to protest over, they can protest over whatever they like. I would rather there was a lot more outcry over cuts to social care, disability benefits etc, but there's no point me lecturing people over their failure to protest over these issues, it's better to explain what's going on so that people are aware.

It was disgusting to see T May hand in hand playing political games with trump. If she pretends as if England loves him and he is more than welcome, England has to protest and tell T May she has gone mental just like USA has with trump.

May burned her bridges with the EU with the stance on the single market. We all know that realistically she had no real choice once immigration took precedence over the economy in the referendum campaign.

 

So now she has to turn turn to the USA (looking increasingly desperate to get in their first) .

 

So yes these problems will directly have an impact on this country and its economy.

 

She at least managed to get that commitment on NATO from him but I bet she already regrets that hand in hand photo through the colonnade.

Well, if you check the history of mankind, frankly yes it's far too much to hope for.

A tiny vociferous minority who may or may not be representative of the silent majority, a minority who jump on a convenient bandwagon whilst remaining conveniently oblivious to massive historical injustices.

The fact that Trump considers all media and journalistic types to be dishonest untrustworthy <removed> should make him a frontrunner in Time, man of the year.

I'm just off to the bookies to put a tenner on the next post, by the way.
