She was from the marlcliffe road area and her birth Mum was called Eileen Mary Bird.

Do you have that date of birth? Or know a female with that date of birth?

 

As I'm looking for my sister who was adopted at birth.

She was born in sheffield.

And was called Josephine Bird.

Her name will have been changed to something else.

So if that date of birth rings a bell and you were adopted. Get in touch as you never know you might be my sister ?

For people who retain their birth name, much can often be done using birth & marrage indexes, electoral rolls etc., but unfortunately I have no experience of finding people who were adopted. Perhaps another Forummer can help here.

Possibly,

 

Bird could be her married name, maiden name Fielding,

there is a number at the side of Josephine's name on the registry that could point to her being adopted.
