Jacktari   10 #14 Posted January 21, 2017 Some friends have said that 'Sun' holidays are always good value, thinking about buying the Sun for the tokens.  They will probably be only for the 'tourist' type places though. Not really my cup of tea, as it were.
 Share this content via...

Jacktari   10 #18 Posted January 21, 2017 Plus recommendations only for tourist areas only plaese  If you only want tourist resorts, there is no where really good at this time of year. CenterParcs, though expensive, have a good indoor arena I believe. Not far to travel either.
 Share this content via...
Blackbeard   10 #19 Posted January 21, 2017 I thought dominican was hurricane season in aug/sept  Hurricane season officially runs from June 1 through November 30. Hurricane Charlie hit the condo on August 13 2004 in Florida and it took almost 2 years to make it habitable again because of the amount of damage in the area and the shortage workers to do all the work. Dales   10 #20 Posted January 22, 2017 Yes, Cavtat is nice little city about 20 km from Dubrovnik. Highly recommended to visit.  Croat77, Have you been to Kupari? With all the bombed out hotels? I found that a very sobering/upsetting place. There is such a beautiful beach there too!
 Share this content via...

blake   10 #24 Posted January 22, 2017 anywhere in the Middle East is out really now, with Israel/Eilat and Dubai being the safest however even those are probably too iffy for most people to consider.  Florida and central America are not so far, too far for one week I would say but not two weeks.  south east Asia Thailand etc, really even two weeks is not enough when it takes at least 12 hours to get there. Goa is closer, that would be OK with two weeks.  for one week in January if you want warm weather only option is the Canaries and Madeira really where there's good flight connections.
