Brake caliper painting for cars

Recommended Posts

Hi

Does anyone know/recommend a place in Sheffield or nearby that does the above - have seen ads for Derby etc but prefer someone local.

Thanks.

The paint is readily available if you fancy DIY ?

The hardest bit is the prep/cleaning. They are held on by just two bolts normally and if you are careful you wouldn't need to disconnect the fluid hose.

No DIY - I'll just screw it up and it's a leased car so needs to go back done halfway decent!

I would double check the terms of your lease before laying spanners on the vehicle. ;)

If its a lease car, its not yours, its basically criminal damage.

I do them , but on bikes. It's easy . Strip them completely, bead blast , powder coat to paint , rebuild using new new seals .

Hard to understand why you would spend money on a lease vehicle before returning it. Leave it to them to tart it up.

If it is a lease car you may find you will have to return it in original condition i.e. without the calliper painting

Exactly - back to normal! I was planning to return to factory.

A very confused and mystified Alcoblog sits at the other end of your computer wondering what on Earth is the point?
