We have been extremely proud of the launch of The Waggon & Horses as the tenth True North Brew Co venue. Millhouses is a great location and we are really enjoying the new challenge with a new concept.

 

We are now moving on to a new menu, launching Wednesday 24th May and have listened to the feedback from the local community and valued customers. The breakfast and lunch menus have been extended to include more great options including starters, salads and mains such as fish & chips, rib eye steak and moussaka, alongside burgers, pizza, sandwiches and brunch. We also have loads more Gluten Free options so please check out the menu.

 

We are also adding a fourth cask line on to the bar to bring a greater range for all the beer lovers in Millhouses.

 

Simon and the team are working very hard at improving the customer experience to make sure that standards increase and remain high. Overall we’ve been delighted with the start The Waggon and Horses has made and look forward to making the pub a great success.

Yes, the menu will be the same throughout. Food will always be available in the bar area now, however, at peak times in the restaurant, this may cause a short wait for the bar area.

Going out of the city, once past Broady and Heeley Triangle, then what ?

 

Usually a reasonable beer range at the Alehouse on Fraser Road near Sainsburys.

Interesting to see the review in the Star yesterday. You could be forgiven for thinking that the research basically consisted of reading this thread!

From Sheffield Star:

"The bill for a starter, two mains and two soft drinks came to £33.80."

 

So, prices went down, because 3 months ago 2 burgers with fries, 2 soft drinks without starters were almost 30£.

There have been a lot of mixed comments on this place. Having returned to the area after being away for a few years is it worth giving this place a go, any recent visitors?

We went a few weeks ago and thought it was still good. The first time we went back in the spring we liked the food but some aspects of the service were a bit chaotic, those problems seem to have been ironed out.
