philyyy   10 #38 Posted January 23, 2018 I went just before Christmas for a comedy gig. There was about 14 of us in there, the comedy wasn't great but the venuw with the weird curtains and old school living room thing was interesting and I thought it worked well. Nice to see them trying to do some a little different even if no one else is quite sure what that is. I think venues can do whatever they want and don't need defining as a gig or comedy etc venue. theimposter   10 #39 Posted January 23, 2018 Yeah- I couldn't work out if the signage was meant to be so discreet you wouldn't see it but it looked like it may be closed!
 Share this content via...

belperite   11 #41 Posted January 25, 2018 Sad to say, but given the location it would probably do a lot better if they just put a load of TVs in with Sky/BT Sports and a few pool tables.
 Share this content via...
SpiderPete   10 #42 Posted January 25, 2018 I walked past it last night and it is still open, maybe they are changing opening hours during January, although it was a bit empty but most of the other pubs I was in were also empty. kaytie   11 #43 Posted January 25, 2018 I liked it when it was the Swim Inn. Especially in summer when the front shutters were open and you could sit and watch the world go by ... like being in a pavement cafe. To be honest from outside it now looks to me like an upmarket brothel ( think it's all the red lights).
 Share this content via...
Joe Totale   10 #44 Posted May 3, 2018 Looks like its closed down, planned on calling for a drink last night before nipping into Mavelis. All in darkness at 7.30 pm.
 Share this content via...

taxman   12 #46 Posted June 14, 2018 It's going to re-open as Sinatra's: https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/sheffield-city-centre-bar-set-to-be-re-branded-with-extended-opening-hours-1-9204579  But it seems to be nothing more than a rebrand by the same people who ran it as Edwards. If they couldn't make a go of it before why do they think changing the name and asking for a few extra hours opening is going to make any difference?
