taxman   12 #38 Posted March 10, 2017 lol - so true! The Beer Engine is a great pub and if your main focus is whether a pint is going to cost £3.30 or £3.80 or whatever then you probably shouldn't be there in the first place.  Not really...with keg lines sometimes the price is £9+. SteelCityAle   10 #39 Posted March 10, 2017 Not something I'll say often, but I agree with the taxman. Some beers are bloody expensive to brew and ergo expensive on the bar. The bar's individual pricing model can make the difference between a beer being a bit pricey and a serious walletectomy. If I want to try the beer and think I'm unlikely to see it again, I'll buy it.
