Ivan Spatula   10 #1 Posted December 30, 2016 (edited) Hi any techy folk out there - my dad bought a galaxy 6 phone in august (NOT EDGE - just ordinary) , he couldn't use it so he gave it me , now when I charge it it gets stuck on anything between 74 - 80% charge & won't fully charge if I leave it on all day , I have cleared cache , had a flash reset at Samsung place on commercial st & done a full factory reset myself , downloaded app called "battery repair" yet it still won't charge , any ideas ? it seemed to happen suddenly rather than over a period of time (the phone is only about 5 mths old) Edited December 30, 2016 by Ivan Spatula
 Share this content via...
Ghozer   112 #2 Posted December 31, 2016 Likely the battery, treating the battery wrongly (letting it fully discharge before recharging, and keeping it on charge over night / topping it up when it's at 80/90% etc)  Swap out the battery (Samsung shop should be able to test if it is any way) and shouldn't be a problem
 Share this content via...

If it's only a few months old take it to the Samsung shop on Commercial Street as it will be under warranty.
