CollieBird   10 #1 Posted December 23, 2016 Just an update on the under weight hedgehog a lady on here kindly brought to me. The hedgehog is a female and has put on weight so she is now 550 gms. While that is an acceptable weight to survive hibernation she will be staying here till spring. If released now and the weather turned really cold she may not find a safe place to hibernate. Better safe than sorry x
 Share this content via...

poppy4 Â Â 10 #5 Posted January 6, 2017 well done for trying to help this small hoggy,as the ther person says south Yorkshire animal rescue take hedgehogs that need help it is on south road walkley.this small hog will most likely have been born late in the year.he will need keeping warm in a cardboard box .he will need water to drink and meat based cat food or iams kitten biscuits or meat based cat biscuits,he will need an old towel or something he can get under.he may not survive if left outside no natural food about and he has not had enough time to get his fat reserve for hibernation, poor little hog they really need all the help we can give them.
