Itrytoplease   10 #1 Posted December 14, 2016 The White House Surgery stopped all my tablets because they wanted to review them, Fair enough, having told the Doctor I wanted to change some tablets because they could cause "Dry Eye" which I have just started suffering from, I half blamed the tablets I was told - Can't sort that out today, I only have a certain amount of time, (they called ME in) Oh! I've also stopped taking the blood pressure tablet as It does cause my ankles to swell - "Well your taking 10mg, lets lower it down to 5mg" Does that mean I'll only have half a swollen ankle. what I total waste of time. Try another surgery.
 Share this content via...
Halibut   12 #5 Posted December 14, 2016 Sorry to hear you're not well, but the answer to the question 'Doctors, are they worth it?' is quite obviously a resounding 'Yes'. You're feeling cross because the doctor has stopped your medication. You did say you were having side effects, so that's fair enough isn't it? Take some deep breaths, have a cup of tea, put your feet up and be glad you don't live in Aleppo.
 Share this content via...

The Aleppo comment reflects badly on you.
 Share this content via...

Why not go with it and see what happens? - you can always go back to see him/her later if it's not working for you.
 Share this content via...

How can you say it obviously a resounding 'Yes' because there are good Doctors and bad Doctors.  From what I seen and been told by others, there are too many Doctors who want more money, in return for doing less work. You have a habit of that. Do you know how much higher education is needed to become a junior doctor? Do you also know how much professional development and extra examinations they need to do to become a specialist? Do you also know how long this all takes?  To give it some context. The MoD pay engineers for their projects a going rate of £60/hr. Taking into account the hours doctors work, they are worth every penny. geared   303 #10 Posted December 14, 2016 If you think you can do better than by all means crack on.  I'm sure you can get whatever tablets you think you need on the dark web.
 Share this content via...

No worries, if you think all Doctors are worth the money and there are no bad Doctors, no lazy Doctors and no Doctors who aren't interested their patients or don't listen to them.
