it is quoted enough to be an established source of information. and people have to work to get that information.

Just to rectify you. What is a lot? Statistically it has a narrower error-base than the Encyclopedia Britannica for scientific and historic data. If you ignore the live people nonsense you are fine. Of course - it does require some information literacy.

 

PS - give on a regular basis, also to the Open Source Initiative - which I think is even more important than wiki.

Perhaps they should be a bit more open about the "grants"

 

$8.2 million in spending allocated for grants. These grants are spent in growing the community and content, although it doesn’t state the exact places that this money is spent.
