biotechpete   10 #5 Posted December 9, 2016 I heard a remark on Radio 4 this week saying that S.Yorks police were performing relatively badly in comparison to other forces. It was claimed that cuts had made them all but abandon neighbourhood policing though.
 Share this content via...

melthebell   862 #11 Posted December 10, 2016 You sound like a labour councillor Mel . maybe so, but since weve had austerity for the past few years and cut after cut its also true  if you read any story with high ranking police officials talking they say as much too, that theyve had to cut and make savings
 Share this content via...
Daven   10 #12 Posted December 10, 2016 police numbers have been lowered all over, thats the nature of the governments cuts, get used to it  And it is set to get FAR worse - thank you Tory government. The number of police personnel is being reduced all the time. Those who are left are spread so thinly they just cannot cope with the workload. All of you out there who criticise the response times of our police should direct their anger and energy towards this government who appear intent of reducing their numbers even more. You ain't seen nothing yet - this situation is set to get very much worse.
 Share this content via...
