allan101 Â Â 10 #1 Posted November 30, 2016 I have recently started to volunteer at a local charity and while there have spoken to people about fitness. I have been very shocked to hear a lot of people say that they have very little help to no help at all. As a result they no longer feel comfortable going to the gym. I want to know how many of you have had a similar experience or even a positive one?
 Share this content via...
garden78 Â Â 10 #2 Posted November 28, 2017 My nephew has cerebral palsy, walks with crutches and loves going to the gym. Has now settled on institute of sport as they are much more aware and supportive than other gyms. He also loved swimming but couldn't get his socks and shoes on his damp feet afterwards without help. The staff assisted him initially but then declined and even suggested he employed a personal assistant through direct payments. He had an assessment of need and doesn't qualify. So no swimming anymore.
 Share this content via...
