Tim1 Â Â 10 #50 Posted February 11, 2017 I'd bet those machines cost a few grand. Then they need power, servicing and maintenance. Â The local Sainsbury's air machine is free to use and has the "out or order" sign on it most of the time. The Tesco one is 50p and is well maintained and (touch wood) has never been out of service as long as I have been using it. I would rather pay and have the service than expect it free and it be hit and miss.
 Share this content via...

Penistone999   10 #52 Posted February 11, 2017 Filled up at the petrol station on Northfield Road, Crookes and then decided to check my tyre pressures only to find use of the machine had been increased from (always a bit pricey) 50p to £1 a go!!! Last time I visit there when if you buy £15 of petrol at Morrisons using the airline is free! Well worth the trip down the hill now!  Stand outside the town hall , there is enough hot air coming out of there for everyone. local music   10 #53 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) I guess the electricity to run it is free, and it will never need maintenance. Why don't you ask to use other machinery for free as well, perhaps an entire car?   Perhaps when you spend £40 at Tesco they should let you have a free turnip?   Errr!! You get money vouchers for loyalty at tesco Edited February 12, 2017 by nikki-red fixed quote tags
 Share this content via...

kaytie   11 #57 Posted February 12, 2017 I wasn't asking for a free service - just not an extortionately priced one! Happily buying my petrol now at Morrisons or the Shell station on Ecclesall Road.
 Share this content via...

Tomm06 Â Â 12 #60 Posted February 12, 2017 There's got to be an inflation joke in here somewhere... Â Though I think Sainsburys petrol stations have free air, the one at Crystal Peaks does. Â Though I don't think it's quite the catastrophe it's being made out to be. I mean I would prefer it to be free or cheaper, but that can be said about everything. A quid every now and then wont be causing anyone a problem.
 Share this content via...
