New Niche nightclub Sheffield Wicker.

Just seen a sign going up near the bike place on derek Dooley way for Niche. Is this going to be there new club or just a promo thing?

Must be out of their minds.. if it's not bad enough reopening niche, they are putting it on the wicker.

Can't think of a place I'd hate to visit more.

The knifes, guns and drugs won't be coming out of hiding as there in most pubs and clubs now anyway. Niche does has a bad rep but it happens everywhere now think people still live in a bubble like nothing happens anywhere else but where the press report.

 

Had a feeling would be same owner as tank. Any more information like when it's opening etc? Have heard it's ment to be over 25s only.

 

Again wouldn't matter if it was in the wicker arches or dore village if something's going to happen then it will. People came from all over the U.K. To the original niche and if this has some success sure they will again.

As Steve Baxendale owned Niche and then opened Tank with a business partner, it would make sense that he still the operator of Niche.

Supposedly opening in January too I've just seen this on Jamie Duggans Twitter.

As someone who used to go to the Sidney Street ' Niche' it was great in its day aside of the problems it had things have moved on from Baseline. I'm amazed that Baxendale risking his money on this given economic climate Niche was last open in 2010 at its Charter Square home it didn't last that long before the problems that beset Sidney Street came back to roost.

 

I don't think it will work again best left in the past.

I loved going to Niche - also a fan of The Arches so this combo sounds intriguing. Sadly my clubbing days are way behind me but I wish them well.

Niche was a magnet for violent crime and drug dealing.
