Kay Starr passed on Nov 3rd she was a great singer though even before my time she remains according to Billie Holliday the only white woman to be able to sing the blues...I would find it hard to disagree.

I remember here from some of my mum's 78's and Rock and Roll Waltz was often heard at fairgrounds at the beginning of the R&R era. I don't believe she was all white either, one of her parents was a native Indian. Great voice, that's for sure R-I-P
