Lancs_Lad   10 #1 Posted November 7, 2016 (edited) Media reporting Spout Lane closed this morning due to a farm house fire at Stannington.  It's actually Acorn Drive that's closed, Spout Lane is open.  The fire sounds serious though, I hope that everyone managed to get out safely, loads of police and fire service in attendance. bluecanary   13 #3 Posted November 7, 2016 How very sad - another old building gone.  Gave up on trying to read the Star story though - too many irritating adverts.
 Share this content via...

teddie   10 #9 Posted November 11, 2016 sadly the residents died. RIP  I know they died. I was wondering if the lady was Freda who I know lived there in the 1980s when I lived near, I think she might be in her 90s now but thought they could have moved in the last 30 odd years? Daven   10 #10 Posted November 11, 2016 Hi Teddie I'm not sure that the couple have been formally named but the most recent report states that ' the couple were known locally as Freda and Len'. I'm really sorry if this is the lady you knew years ago.
 Share this content via...
