sbes 10 #1 Posted May 7, 2006 Hi I have been trying to buy a house in Greystones, near Eccy Road. Now I have been involved in a few bidding wars where the properties go for £10K over the asking price. Do you think it is worth paying something like £10K over the asking price in Greystones? Thanks
 Share this content via...

Thanks Yes, generally speaking. The area is lovely and quiet, the houses tend to sell within a couple of weeks of going on the market and the schools have a good reputation. Its a fairly safe area ..there's very little trouble.
 Share this content via...
jacq 10 #3 Posted May 8, 2006 definitely yes, all houses go over the asking price round there, so £10k is probably not bad.Get in before they start going for £20K over!
 Share this content via...
sbes 10 #4 Posted May 20, 2006 Ah I did offer on a house there (up for 180) at 190K as my first offer (as I know what the market is like up there), but I pulled out as I just didn't feel right about paying £10K over the AP. Reckon I was stupid?
 Share this content via...
Strix 11 #5 Posted May 20, 2006 Nope - not stupid I'm superstitious about house buying, so if something told you you should pull out, you've done the right thing
 Share this content via...
