its got delayed from opening due to finding squatters in the storerooms.homeless folk have taken residence at the rear of the premises, which has delayed the opening.

im told because there was no break ins the squatters have rights to stay there until it goes to court.

I don't know about that. Why don't all shops have squatters then. You could walk in when it is open and refuse to leave. Or offices for that matter.

Potentially something to do with it not technically being occupied yet?

So this would be squatting, where if they tried it with an open business it would be trespassing or breaking and entering?

No idea how the law works.

Do you normally add 50% onto all periods of time?

Went tonight - quite impressed really!!

  • Plenty of parking.
  • Not too busy.
  • Good selection of stock.
  • Plenty of self-service check-outs with a dedicated staff member to help.
  • Free "Welcome card" kitchen roll with transactions over £20.

Not sure why it took 2 years - but definitely a big improvement.

Certainly (slightly) less depressing that going to the Darnall Lidl.
