He was a homeless guy who used to sit there. Sadly passed away. Spar have said they will put details of his funeral in the window.

Such a shame he was a lovely guy, my parents paid for him to have a couple of nights in a hostel last Christmas he was so grateful. Does anyone know what happened?

From what I understand, Bret took his own life. It's easy to see how being in his situation can lead to hopelessness even if he had no mental health problems to begin with, but it's a sad statement about the stresses of living with no home.

Was this the guy with the walkman? Used to buy him batteries and food sometimes.

What a sad story. We should all remember 'there but for the grace of God go i' may he find the peace he was seeking.

Me and my partner spoke to him often and offered him food and money. I am sorry to hear the sad news.
