Clown Craze has reached Sheffield!

Recommended Posts

Think you mean the 31st - thats Halloween by the way

No, it's a typical Facebook rumour that gained momentum because people tend to believe stuff and share it without applying any rational thought.

The rumour would have you believe that people putting a clown mask on to jump out and scare kids have now become an organised, mobilised terrorist organisation who've all planned to go out the night before Halloween on a "purge" (see the film of the same name), committing all manner of violent crime including murder.

"Purge Night" is the new name for Mischief Night or Devil's Night, which is usually on the 30th.

They're all taken from films, such as "The Crow".

So did anyone fall victim to the swarms of killer clowns on their mass "purge" night?

I would say no, because it was a fictional non-event, likely devised by one individual and perpetuated by many.

Her boyfriends son was a casualty.

I don't think the word "vigilante" applies if they were beating people up at random. That's just viscious ****s
